Today, I have tried Windows Live Mesh, that is really good tool for synchronize files between different computers, not only for Windows base computer, Mac OS also can use same paltform to sync the files with PC.  I am thinking once the mobile client be released, our WM Phone picture will be sync to other computers by using Mesh, it is really great for real-time data sharing. 

 

I am searching the Mesh development information, I think developer can use this paltform to develop something with high business value.  Also, it also support Windows XP

I have spare time today, so I can play around the Windows 7 Media Center function. 

 

What I found that the MCE function in Windows 7 has more utlize the display resource form hardware, it can render more special effect, e.g. the photo library, you will find that you are really reading a album, as the following:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the computer support multi-touch function, I think it will become very amazing. 

There are some great improvements in Windows 7 Start Menu and Start Bar.

 

In the Start Menu, it is eary to help to to find our corresponding file to a program.  As the below picture, I point to Paint, the Start Menu can show me the files that relate to Paint or the files has been opened by Paint before.  It is great to increase a lot of productivity.

 

 

The next one is that the Start Bar become context oriented, for example, if you right click the IE from Start Bar, it will prompt our history and you can select from the list.  I believe that developer can develop application that use and integrate with this feature to increase the accessibility to the application.

 

For every version of Windows, it will has SDK.  For example Vista version will have Vista SDK, develop can use that SDK to learn how to develop native Win32 code, for example some dialog box control from VC++.   After installing Windows 7 Beta 1, I have installed the beta SDK.  After installation, you can use Visual Studio Registration Tool to register the SDK in Visual Studio 2008, making it as default development tools for Windows 7.

 

 

 

I have installed Windows 7 into my Toshiba table PC which has 4GB RAM today, the installation process is good, it only need about 20mins to 25mins to complete the installation, I think it is quite fast if it is just beta software.

 

Yes, just like what's magazine mentioned, the start menu has been changed and it is more easy to use, especailly the quick start icon, the icons docked here is bigger and more easy to click.  By default, the side bar or gadget will not be display - it is good idea because the side bar is really use a lot of resources, actually, to myself, in Vista, I will not use side bar, even I use, I only use the world clock gadget to check time. 

 

BTW, for the Windows 7 Beta, I have installed AVG for AntiVirus, it is working fine withour any issue.

 

 

I have also download the WinSDK for Windows 7, not yet install but will try and post here more later.

Not have too much time to learn the LINQ in past, I found good resource about LINQ http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-au/vbasic/cc337906.aspx to kick off for learning LINQ. 

 

That is good for me during the CNY holiday.

I have used several windows mobile devices (dopod 900, CHT900 and C730), also have experience use the Nokia phone and iphone, finally I switch back to use WM phone today and using the Htc Touch HD.  In general, it is very good phone, compare with Htc Touch Diamond, the TouchFLO is great over the Diamond, so I would recommend to the people who want to buy this phone.

 

More details, the 3.8' screen is good, the feeling is just like I use the first O2 phone.  By using the touch screen technology, you don't need to press any key, you only need to select what you want and the phone will go the function you have selected.  In the diamond, we always call people accidently but the HD has great improvement, also, the multi-touch senior is good over the past version.  In the diamond, if you scroll contact and it will not stop until the end of record, but the HD now will sense how strong you put on the screen and will stop at the right position. 

 

Also, the Music from TouchFLO is more easy to use, in Diamond, I really don't know how to work with it but in HD, it is more easy to use and I am now enjoy with the 3.5mm jack and my high end in-ear headphone.  It support to 16GB micro-SD, and the AGPS is fast, I use MapKing to search my current location, it only use less than 30second to complete.

 

Htc do a great job and hopefully I can install IE6 into this phone.

 

That's is really good, especially for 32-bit system because you have not choice, you can only install 32-bit Windows Vista.

 

After install the SP1 to Windows Vista, I can see totally 4GB RAM from system.

Not sure Windows XP SP3, it after install SP3, it can see 4GB RAM, it will be the COOL things!
